Sundström - Powered Respiratory Protection Sundström SR 500 Standard/HD

The SR 500 is a battery-powered fan which, together with filters and an approved facepiece, forms part of Sundström’s powered air-purifying respiratory protection systems. The SR 500 can be used as an alternative to filter respirators in all situations where such protection is recommended. This is particularly applicable to work that is heavy, hot, or of long duration. The fan is fitted with filters, and the filtered air is supplied via a breathing hose to the facepiece. The resulting positive pressure prevents surrounding contaminants from penetrating.

The SR 500 has the following features:
• Lithium-ion battery
• Two battery options: STD (standard) and HD (heavy duty)
• Charging time: standard battery approx. 1.5 hours and heavy duty battery approx. 2 hours
• Can be equipped with two filters/filter combinations
• Operating time up to twelve hours
• Start, stop, and selection of operating mode are controlled using the same control button
• Display with symbols indicating various operating conditions
• Alarm with vibration and audible and visual signals in the event of restricted airflow
• Automatic airflow control with compensation for air pressure and temperature
• Can be used together with hoods SR 520, SR 530, SR 561, SR 562, SR 601, SR 602, SR 604, face shield SR 570, welding visor SR 570/SR 574, half mask SR 900, full face mask SR 200, welding visor SR 592, helmet with visor SR 575, SR 580, and welding visor/helmet with visor SR 574/SR 575, SR 584/SR 580.

The electronics enclosure is approved to protection class IP67 in accordance with IEC/EN 60529. The fan is also available in an ATEX-approved version, SR 500 EX. See separate product datasheet.
